Working Harder...

This has been a long week of school so far. It's not over either. Majority of of the workload is not bad.

In fact, I aced my Counseling midterm on Sunday, finished the online posts (100%), quiz (another 100%), and some exercises. I ended up getting a mid-range A on my Personality writing assignment. I aced the quiz in that class on Tuesday, and I'm even helping to tutor a student in the class. I've been invited into an honor society. They wrote in their letter that I am in the top 15% of my class!

I'm not feeling too hot about my test in Anthropology this last Monday. I did okay. I do not like okay, but that is just not my field; it's just an elective I have to take to satisfy my Psychology requirements, but I'll be damned if I let that ruin my 3.88 GPA!

Aside from these achievements, I was running around all day. Seriously. First, I had an appointment with my department's advising center. This only took 10 minutes, but waking up, getting ready, rushing out the door, finding a parking spot, and racing to the building on campus took a lot longer! I even had to head back home after my class to eat and take a shower before work, where I am now.

Before I arrived to class, however, I was running around campus for some answers about my classes (and findiing out how much UNLV jackets are), so I can have some sort of idea as to what classes I am taking in the spring. I think I have it down, but who knows what my final schedule is going to look like. It is very possible that it might change. I am thinking about going for 15 credits, but since I am aiming for a research assistant position in the spring, this will add on 1 - 6 credits, depending on the workload. Wowza...

This leads to my next issue: confidence about being accepted as a research assistant. I have received three emails back about being a research assistant. So, three professors are willing to take a look at me, but that does not guarantee the position. *sigh* I know I'm good at my work; I just need to be given a chance...

Anyway, this week is not over. I need to go home after work, write a post for an online course, and study for my Research Methods test that is tomorrow. I really want to ace that too! ;] I have been on a roll. I know I can do it. My confidence does not lack here!

Then, my meeting for Psi Chi is tomorrow (after my student tutoring, perhaps?), and I'm helping that meeting will help narrow down what I'm looking for in graduate school. Meaning, whether or not I pursue the PsyD now or later...

I should probably update about my social life in the next post. This is just dedicated to school. That's pretty much where my life is right now - focusing on school. I am a very busy gal. </3
